The conference will be chaired by Roy Wilshire of the UK National Fire Chiefs Council. Highlights of the programme include; detailed feedback on a major High Rise firefighting exercise undertaken by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, Firefighting jet nozzle techniques from an expert speaker from Canada, new procedures for ‘ascending exterior façade fires’ from Australia. Fighting fires in electric cars, in underground car parks will highlight an emerging hazard and seek to provide answers.

Conference Director Russ Timpson of the Tall Building Fire Safety Network commented ‘This is a very timely meeting of Firefighters from across the UK, Europe and Internationally. The procedures for fighting fires in high rise buildings must be reviewed and improved’.
