The peak biennial Australasian Association of Fire Investigators Conference will this year be held at Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach, 12 – 14 September 2016.
Hosted by the NSWAFI, the key theme for the 2016 program is “The Learning is in the Burning”.
Staying true to the theme, the program will feature a one day workshop at a local Sydney testing facility with a focus on studying burns and investigation techniques. A further two days of sessions will engage and excite attendees with talks from international keynote speaker Steve
Carman (President of Carman & Associates Fire Investigation in Northern California) and leading national experts within the industry.
“The aim of the Conference is to promote education within the industry by encouraging practitioners to learn through testing and experiment”, says Michael Forbes, President of NSWAFI.
“AAFI 2016 is an opportunity to showcase Australia’s capabilities in the research and the practical benefit of live burns in fire research and investigation.”
The event will bring together Fire Investigators, Police, Loss Assessors and Insurers, not only from all over Australia, but worldwide from the United States of America, United Kingdom, Asia, New Zealand and more
The Conference provides excellent opportunities through delegate and industry networking, to work together across a range of disciplines and jurisdictions, to share experiences and the latest innovations and techniques to develop more effective fire investigation methodologies.
Discounts are available for organisations registering 3 or more to attend.
