Australian Bushfire Building Conference 2021
25 August 2021 @ 6:00 am – 27 August 2021 @ 2:00 pm
The 2021 Australian Bushfire Building Conference is the annual must-attend event for building industry professionals, researchers and planners to learn from bushfire building experts in the field, network with one another and keep up-to-date with the latest research, regulations, and technologies.
The theme in 2021 is “Addressing the tensions: Are we getting the balance right?“
This year the 7th annual conference will be a ‘hybrid’ event with a live and in-person conference hub in the Blue Mountains, NSW plus a virtual component through a dedicated conference platform which will run simultaneously.
Conference delegates will have the opportunity to learn about the latest research, policies, and practices that they can then implement to create a more resilient and sustainable future.
The event is presented by Blue Mountains Economic Enterprise (BMEE), a not-for-profit organisation for economic development in the Blue Mountains in partnership with Blue Mountains City Council.
Similar to last year, the 2021 conference will be a ‘hybrid’ event, with a live, in-person hub in the Blue Mountains, NSW. Alongside this will be a simultaneous virtual component through a dedicated conference platform. The hybrid conference will live stream all sessions for those unable to attend in-person or in case the live event/s are cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
